Now She’s Stronger

She met him in high school. She thought he’s the best, the first and the last. But sudden truth from him broke her heart. He doesn’t love her anymore, there is someone else. She broke down in tears and promised herself she will be better. The best woman that every man would love. Her mindset is to separate life from studies. She continued studying, gained honors and got a high paying job.
Now she’s stronger.

She’s a high school crush, every guy liked her. But one guy caught her eye, he’s bright but soft-spoken, he brought her things and brought her home every day. He’s not asking for anything. But simply life can’t be so boring. They separated and went to different colleges. She knew she deserved someone better, someone, as ecstatic as her. They’re still friends and now he’s gay.

Now she’s stronger.
She always looks for the best man. She thought this man is someone who has a name, who already proven himself as skilled and talented. She found him in the office, she liked him, he likes her too. But he’s taken. He says he’s having problems with his partner. She loved him. But she realized that she doesn’t deserve to be unrecognized, or labeled as ‘the other’. She asked him to choose, and he chose his partner. She didn’t understand why it ended that way. She promised to make herself better, better than the one he chose. She continued to improve and gained a high paying job. She established a name on her own. The man got his marriage failed.
Now she’s stronger.
She’s very talented and wanted a man who could share talents with her. They went on gigs, she learned new things, new art, new interests. He loves her, he’s kind. But he’s an underachiever. She thought that he will never be that guy who can provide her needs and help her one day build a home. She left him, she knew there will be someone better out there. She continued to build herself, she doesn’t want to settle for something less. She deserved it for everything that she is.
Now she’s stronger.
She enjoyed his company. They’re on the road traveling from coast to coast. Every moment felt good. But then she realized she is sleeping less and feels tired before work. She felt exhausted. She thought that she is happy but she is suffering. She learned to love herself.
Now she’s stronger.
She met this skilled guy and idolized him. She learned a lot from him and hopefully from her. They had a good relationship until they stepped up to the next level. The problem is, he’s married. She never thought of getting into this kind of thing. Their relationship went on but she realized that this isn’t the life that she wanted. She doesn’t deserve it. She cried. She left him. She was judged by the righteous ones. They never knew how it felt to be alone when supposedly it takes two to tango. She left everything. She moved on with life.
Now she’s stronger.
She thought that everything is perfect. He’s the perfect guy, almost. He’s everything she wanted but they are not together. At first, she thought that it’s ok. But she came to realize that this is not the life that she wants. She needed someone to lean on in times of difficulty and pain. He tried his best – but when it’s not ok, it might simply not. She confronted herself and broke the kingdom she’s in. Might be right or wrong, but she stood for herself.
Now she’s stronger.
She is starting to stand on her own. Learning things on her own and exploring things that she enjoys. She’s waiting for the guy who will love her with all his heart, be with her, and support her endeavors. She is beginning to see life as wonderful as it can be. She doesn’t let anyone ruin her happiness and she’s backed up by the things that she learned from life. The things she learned, the things she experienced. She continues to become stronger and wiser. She doesn’t need recognition, she’s only after those who listen. She’s working on making a difference that could change the way we live our lives. She keeps her family happy and sustained. She is an advocate. She could be someone beside you, looking at you or hiding within YOU.
Stay Strong.

  1. Looks like a book excerpt. Are you preparing yourself to become an author? After reading this post I feel that it’s telling women that no matter who will come into their lives they are free to choose and fight for their dreams.

    1. Well, maybe in the future. That I’m not sure yet. Actually, I’m looking forward to writing stuff like this, I don’t know how to call them, but for now I call them my musings.
