Blessing of the Animals – God’s love is for all

The Blessing of the Animals held last Saturday, October 7, 2017, sponsored by Pooch Park was a great success as fur moms and fur dads brought their fur babies to have them blessed in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi.

Different breeds come together to celebrate this event. All of them are wearing fancy clothes and happy smiles held by their very supportive fur moms and dads to receive God’s love and blessings.

I haven’t heard of an event like this before, that’s why I’m very excited to bring my pug Chichi to attend the blessing. We came early and got a loot bag with all sorts of kibbles and vitamins. It’s nice to see other breeds behaving so well with one another. Although vitamins are important for dogs, so is looking after their teeth. The priest arrived at exactly 5 PM and blessed our pets. I can’t explain the feeling when finally it’s Chichi’s turn. Everybody went home feeling blessed and very happy for their pets.
