REVIEW | Milk Peel Cream Mask

Love milk? Althea Korea’s got a new exclusive product to stay refreshed and hydrated while exfoliating. Impossible? Not with Milk Peel Cream Mask.

Exfoliation ensures that impurities, oil and dirt are removed from pores, thus results in clearer and blemish free skin. It removes dead skin for a brighter and smoother complexion. At the same time, this process helps your skin to easily absorb the skincare products for the next steps of your routine and improve its effectiveness.

What’s AHA and BHA?

AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid, glycolic/lactic acids) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid/Salicylic Acid) are both chemical exfoliators. AHA is responsible for exfoliating the outer layer of the skin like peeling or rejuvenating while BHA penetrates deep into the skin to dissolve sebum, unclog pores, and clear the skin from impurities.

The latest from #AltheaKorea – Milk Peel Cream Mask! 💦 . I’m trying to make a video while using it last weekend but I guess I’ll have a retake. Lol! Going back, this new product comes in a 50mL baby blue and white pump. It’s consistency changes from a thick lather to a whipped foam. Yes, it transforms! 😮 That made me more excited to try it! Here’s my FIRST IMPRESSION about this product! What I love about it… . ❤Sensitive skin using AHA & BHA?! It’s a yes because MILK is in charge of moisturization! It contains Kaolin that detoxifies and clears clogged pores and impurities. AHA & BHA are gentle chemical exfoliators, yet it is not that recommended for sensitive skin. I never thought it’ll be possible, but Althea did a good job! ❤It’s so exciting to use a product that transforms, and scary at the same time. Like how would this product work on my face? Applying it is the most challenging step because I feel like I have to do it real fast to make sure that the product stays and turns into foam evenly at the same time. Nah, it’s just me. 😆. ❤ That tingling feeling when the lather starts to turn into foam. 😳😳😳✨. ❤ It smells like milk.. ❤ After washing, skin feels soft. Yes, not smooth, not squeaky, but soft. And that’s a new feeling for me, it’s different! ❤ It feels gentle on skin, no sting. What made me think twice… 🤔 I always have problems with pumps. 🤔 I need to apply it real fast, and its thick consistency makes it a little hard to apply evenly on skin. Ingredients

Milk Peel Cream Mask is Althea Korea’s newest product that deeply hydrates the skin as it exfoliates. Milk protein (casein extract moisturizes and strengthens the skin) while AHA and BHA gently exfoliate the skin. Kaolin clay detoxifies and pulls out impurities from the pores.

Complete list of ingredients: Water (Aqua), Kaolin, Glycerin, Disiloxane, Bentonite, Propanediol, Myristic Acid, Methyl Perfluoroisobutyl Ether, Stearic acid, Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, Potassium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Palmitic Acid , Ethylhexylglycerin, Milk Protein extract, Disodium Edta, Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen) Leaf Extract, Gluconolactone, Glycolic Acid, Titanium dioxide (Ci 77891), Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin*, Hexyl Cinnamal*, Citronellol* – Source: Althea

I’m aware that I should avoid AHAs because I have sensitive skin. But I’m giving it a shot because Milk Peel Cream Mask is filled with hydrating ingredients.

Texture & Packaging

By the way, this comes in a pump bottle. Sometimes it fails to pump the clay out but anyway it still works. I love the powder blue color of its cap, it reminds me of Drunk Elephant. The scent exudes as I spread the clay into my face. It smells like milk powder.

The Experience

This morning I took the time to take some pics to show you how Milk Peel Cream works. I usually use it at night and do it 1-2 times a week.

After putting on my Etude House Etti Hairband, I started to wash my face with water and remove the excess to leave my skin damp. Then, I hurriedly applied the creamy clay and spread it evenly all over my face avoiding the eye area.

The creamy clay starts to bubble into a rich lather to deep cleanse the pores and remove dead skin cells. You’ll get a tingling sensation during the process.

Rinse with warm water. My skin doesn’t feel squeaky or slippery, rather it feels soft. After a while, my face looks brighter and smoother. I did not encounter any allergic reaction nor pain before and after using Milk Peel Cream Mask.

Will I use it?

Sure, but I will use it once or twice a week even though it’s a gentle chemical exfoliator.

You can buy this at 490 Php (ph.althea.kr) at 50mL. If you’re interested to try Milk Peel Cream Mask, click this link. Or sign up for an account by using this link and get 20% off on your first order.
