Bloom your own beauty with Dasique!
It’s been a while since we featured a product for review on the blog. I’ve been spending time with my social media channels and to catch up let’s review the Dasique Blur Velvet Tint.
About Dasique brand
Inspired by flowers that bloom and wilt in the course of nature, the Korean cosmetic brand Dasique cultivates the true beauty in you. It’s various collection gives off a floral vibe to make you bloom and unlock the beauty in you. Dasique is well-known for its eye makeup. And now, blooming its way to rock the beauty industry with their own lip tint collection: the Water Gloss Tint and the Blur Velvet Tint.
The Blur Velvet Tint collection
Packaging
Let’s start off with the packaging. The lip tints comes in a pink box with a very minimalist design with the brand printed on metallic rose gold. At the top you will see the shade of the lip tint. While most of the texts are written in Korean, the important details such as the weight (3.2g/0.11 oz), the PAO symbol indicating 12M (can be used for 12mos after opening the product), and the expiry date can be easily seen.
The lip tint tube is made of a thick semi-translucent plastic with a matte screw cap that’s very pleasing to the touch. The applicator is satisfying enough to apply the tint accurately on the lips with just the right amount of product.
The Blur Velvet Tint
The Blur Velvet Tint gives a smooth velvety matte finish and blurs dark lip lines. I love it’s sweet berry/floral scent and it’s long lasting, highly pigmented shades of rose:
01 Flat Rose – soft rose color to add an oomph on natural looking lips
02 Coral Shower – more of a warm, toned down shade of coral (orangey)
03 Rose Berry – red rose
04 Maple Rose – a shade between maple and rose (orangey)
05 Brick Rose – brick red shade (brownish)
Let me emphasize the orangey shades, they are not like the usual shades that sometimes looks off with other skin tone. The Blur Velvet Tint shades looks really good and appealing regardless of skin tone.
Review
Velvety/creamy lip tints are expected to transfer easily. But these tints are highly pigmented, thus, leaving a light pigment on your lips. I tried removing it using micellar water but I needed to wash it with cleanser to remove it completely.
It is non-sticky but might become a bit drying if you will use it without proper moisturization after a few hours. Also, layering is easy with the Blur Velvet Tints because it blends well and creates a subtle gradient on your lips.
Suggested shades for layering are as follows:
01 Flat Rose + 03 Rose Berry
02 Coral + 04 Maple Rose
04 Maple Rose + 05 Brick Rose
