I choose products that are lightweight on the skin but never fails to keep me looking fresh without doing a lot of retouches. About Althea Petal Velvet Powder

Althea Petal Velvet Powder is one of Althea’s first in its own product line. It comes in three variants: #0 Translucent, #23 Warm Beige, and the limited & special edition #Pink Lavender. In general, it’s a powder made of microfine particles that makes skin look shine-free and radiant. It is also a nice setting powder for a matte silky finish.

#0 Translucent is recommended for all skin tone. If you want a natural coverage, choose #23 Warm Beige. For brightening, it’s #Pink Lavender for you.

The Experience

More often, I use this as my everyday powder after my sunscreen. It’s lightweight and gives a pore blurring effect that makes skin look smoother and radiant. It is good at keeping your skin shine-free ALL DAY. Yes, the effect lasts for more than 8 hours if you’re in the office or an air-conditioned room. If you’re outside, this powder can keep you looking fresh and radiant even after sweating. Just retouch IF necessary, most likely it’s not. 😉

In my experience, I do retouch twice a day using this product. That is before leaving the house or as soon as my sunscreen sets in and after office just to keep my skin fresh looking while on the commute. By the way, I’m using #23 Warm Beige since I’m wearing this as my face powder and I need some coverage.

I also use this as my setting powder to minimize caking especially on the eye area. It’s really nice and still keeps my skin looking natural and matte.

Althea Petal Velvet Powder is a cruelty-free, paraben-free product with a gentle scent.

I love its packaging that’s really compact and perfect for travelling because it’s so small and slim. It comes with a puff but really it’s a little messy when you use it. The powder tends to fall and leave debris on your top. Nonetheless, that’s the only problem I have while using it. Of course, make sure that you cleanse well to remove the product and unclog your pores.

Althea Petal Velvet Powder has Silica that has excellent oil-absorbing properties for a long-lasting excess sebum control. Hydrogenated lecithin and Glycerin to lock in moisture to the skin. Mica reflects light to make skin look radiant.
