I usually do my manicure. But I found a budget-friendly and safe nail lounge in Manila that’s really worth trying.
Why I do it myself?
Manicure/pedicure done at a salon or spa doesn’t make me feel safe.
Have you heard about the risk of acquiring hepatitis and AIDS from a single cut after having a manicure done at a salon or spa? This is really alarming especially when you are not sure that the tools being used are not sanitized.
Having your manicure or pedicure at the mall can be very EXPENSIVE.
Outside, you can have it at 50% less. I used to think that getting your nails done at the mall is just a luxury and not really worth it.
Good thing I tried to get my nails done with Beauty and Butter!
I learned about them when I attended Glamcon 2018. They have a roll the dice event where you can get free treatment or a random item. I won a gift card and finally, I had the chance to use it and share my experience.
Clean, minimalist vibe
I had my manicure done at SM Megamall branch and I noticed its minimalist design. Pastel, black and a few accents make the place look simple compared to other nail lounges.
Sanitation is first
After softening the cuticles by soaking the hands in bubbly warm water, the nail technician asked me to sign a plastic wrapped nail cleaning tools. Sanitized tools are provided to each customer. This made me feel more comfortable.
Great nail cleaning experience
My expectation is to get plain nail cleaning without nail polish but Beauty and Butter Signature Manicure includes nail polish. You have different options but since I prefer nudes they offered Orly nail polish in Sheer Nude. I love how the nail polish was neatly applied.
NOTE: PAY BEFORE HAVING YOUR NAILS DONE.
Do not make the same mistake I did. While trying to get money from my wallet, I accidentally scratched my nails. Good thing they are generous enough to retouch and fix it. I expect that they have a nail polish drying machine, but they did not use one during our session.
Beauty and Butter indeed offers a different experience made by professional nail technicians. They are using different techniques that you won’t experience in regular parlors outside the mall.
I only paid 50php for this but a regular Signature Manicure session at Beauty and Butter costs only 250php. That’s value for time and money! At the mall, a regular manicure usually costs 300PHP up. You can always go to the nearest Beauty and Butter branch if you need a quick manicure/pedicure done with quality and expertise.
