Essential oils are definitely a “gift of the earth” to mankind.

You must have seen a lot of beauty and personal care products with essential oils as one of its main ingredients. Most of the time these products are selling at a higher price. Is it really effective? Is it worth the price? After attending doTERRA and my Oil Family’s exclusive event, I learned that essential oils does more than what we thought. Here are some of the key points about essential oils:
What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are natural extracts from the seeds, stems, roots, flowers, bark and other parts of plants. Throughout history, the essential oils are part of medical practice, beauty treatment and food preparation. Pure therapeutic grade essential oils are the safest, purest and most beneficial essential oils available today. They are skillfully distilled from plants around the world in order to provide the most benefits.
Safe
Essential oils that are natural and pure therapeutic grade are safe providing you with all the health benefits but without side effects or addictions associated with many prescription medications.
Effective
Essential oils are effective against threats whether inside or outside the cells.
Fast and inexpensive
Filipinos are very familiar with inhaling peppermint oils to relieve from headaches and dizziness. Essential oils tend to work faster to provide relief, thus making it inexpensive.
3 Ways to Use Essential Oils
Aromatically
Use a diffuser to spread the essential oil particles into the air, or rub two drops on palms and inhale.
Topically
Apply a few drops of the essential oil directly on the skin by rubbing.
Internally
Place 1 to 2 drops under the tongue, or mix in a glass of water and drink, or you can drop in an empty capsule and swallow just like any other pill.
How much do I use?
With essential oils, small amounts used more frequently is usually most effective. Many adults use 2-4 drops at a time while only 1-2 drops at a time for children. For small children or people with sensitive skin, dilute the essential oil with approximately 1 teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
Now that you know more about essential oils, you might ask “there’s a lot of essential oils in the market, how do we make sure that what we’re getting is safe and effective?”

The doTERRA Story
In the spring of 2008, a group of health-care and business professionals who shared profound personal experiences of the life-enhancing benefits of essential oils came together with a common vision of bringing a new standard of therapeutic-grade essential oils to the world. They wanted something different that would appeal to all people, from those who knew nothing of essential oils to those who were considered experts in the field.

After brainstorming, they concluded that with the hard work and commitment of others who had a similar passion and vision, they could create a new paradigm for essential oils. Thus, giving birth to doTERRA, derived from the Latin words “Gift of the Earth”. The first doTERRA offering of 25 single oils and 10 oil blends was launched on April 25, 2008, to the acclaim of essential oil experts and product enthusiasts who immediately recognized the superior quality of doTERRA therapeutic-grade essential oils. doTERRA continued to add wellness products infused with these safe and effective essential oils.
doTERRA’s mission is to change the world one drop, one person, one community at a time.
My doTERRA Experience
During the exclusive event, we had the chance to try out the peppermint and wild orange essential oils. The room is filled with peppermint’s fresh and cool scent.
Aside from the key points discussed, we learned that doTERRA is a multi-level marketing company based in Pleasant Grove, Utah helping farmers from different communities. This could be an advantage if you’ve decided to use essential oils for your family’s source of healing and wellness. I tried doTERRA’s peppermint oil and deep blue rub to ease my headache and body pains. I’m surprised that I am relieved in as fast as 1-2 minutes.

Hi! 😀 I love reading things about natural remedies and essential oils. It’s like “Let food be thy medicine” sort of. I have been wanting to try essential oils but I the ones I find were too expensive kasi. 🙁 Is DoTerra locally available or is this available through e-commerce?
Also, may nabasa ako na you shouldn’t directly use Essential Oils sa skin daw kasi it is highly concentrated and should be diluted with Carrier oils. 🙂
doTERRA hasn’t officially launched yet in PH, so follow them on Facebook for more inquiries and to stay updated on their launching in PH.
BTW, I asked doTERRA regarding your question about when to dilute or not. Here’s their reply: To know when to dilute or not, you will be guided by the Skin Sensitivity icons such as: N – can be used with no dilution (NEAT), S – dilute to minimize sensitivity (SENSITIVE), D – dilute before use (DILUTE)
Hope this helps! 😉
